What is a Concept? The basic word with a lot of confusion in the minds of the Architecture Community.!
Some define a concept as the elements used in the design, some defined it as the shape and form derived, some describe it as the theme, while half of the Arch cluster doesn’t know what is it. The concept has nothing to do with your design, neither your form nor your drawings.
It’s the first thought that comes to your mind when the project is been introduced to you. It is the basic understanding of your mind and hand and then developing those thoughts on paper.
The concept is the dialogue between the non-living built mass to the Human and the nature around it. It was also stated as the story which the monument will carry throughout its life and the elements of the building act as the pillars for this.
Many of you will hear the words like Zoning, Connectivity in the concept, and as always by not getting the exact meaning we assume it’s with spaces.
Here Connectivity is of the Soul to the Build mass and the Zoning here stands for the allocation of live spaces into the Dead mass, creating a beautiful shape.
And from these thoughts, the design is been formed, emerged, and developed into a realistic structure with the knowledge of Architecture and keeping in mind the structural constraints.
